Fulham Troll Jurgen Klopp For His Comments After Liverpool’s Draw In The First Match
On 6 August 2022, Liverpool kicked off their Premier League season against Fulham at Craven Cottage. However, Liverpool fans were expecting an easy win but they failed to do so. Liverpool managed only one point by drawing the match 2-2. Meanwhile, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp came up with an excuse for his team’s below-par performance after the match.
Jurgen Klopp said that ‘the pitch was dry’ and that created issues for his team to play freely. However, such a comment did not please Fulham at all. In reply to that, the Premier League club came up with a post on Twitter to troll the Liverpool boss hilariously. Meanwhile, the post got viral and got circulated quickly on the internet.
Here is the shared post:

Liverpool came back twice from behind to earn a point against Fulham in the season opener
Speaking about the post, Fulham posted a picture of their turf being watered. They shared the post on 7 August 2022 with a caption: ‘The Craven Cottage turf looking absolutely lush yesterday’. After the match, Jurgen Klopp shared his views regarding the performance of his team at the post-match conference.
He said: ‘The attitude was not right in the beginning, then we wanted to fight back, but you don’t find it easy anymore. The pitch was dry, we played into their cards. The result is fine, I don’t think we deserve more than that.’ Meanwhile, this was not the first time that Klopp blamed some obscure factors after a poor result for his team.
Speaking about the match, Aleksandar Mitrovic opened the scoring with a smart header in the first half for Fulham. But, Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez came up with an equalizer in his Premier League debut. Then, again, Mitrovic scored from the spot and Fulham was leading by 2-1. But, Mohamed Salah came up as a rescuer again for Liverpool as he scored to make it 2-2 for the visitors. Liverpool might find themselves unlucky as Jordan Henderson hit the woodwork in stoppage time. But, Fulham kept their nerves and the match ended at a draw (2-2).
