‘Get the Asia Cup for us else step down’ – Fans Fume At Rohit Sharma’s Captaincy As India Lost Against Pakistan

After defeating Pakistan by five wickets in the first match of the Asia Cup 2022, India took on again them in the ‘Super four’ stage. The match took place in Dubai on 4 September 2022. Speaking about their forms, India was coming off two back-to-back wins in the group stage. On the other hand, Pakistan thrashed Hong Kong in the group stage to qualify for the next round.

Hence, the stage was set for both teams to have a great encounter once again for their fans. But, India dealt with a blow as Ravindra Jadeja got ruled out for his knee injury. Therefore, India made some significant changes in playing XI.

Fans were not happy with Rohit Sharma’s captaincy as India lost the match by five wickets

Speaking of the match, Pakistan won the toss and they asked India to bat first. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul gave India a blistering start. Then, India lost two quick wickets. Rohit Sharma again had a start. But, he failed to make it big after scoring 28 runs off 16 balls, at a strike rate of 175. Kohli scored 60 runs off 44 balls, at a strike rate of 136.36. But, Pakistan bowlers bowled well in the last few overs. Thus, they restricted India to 181 runs in 20 overs.

In reply, Babar Azam failed again to score big. Rizwan scored 71 runs off 51 balls during the chase. Mohammad Nawaz scored a quick 42 runs off 20 balls and that set the tone for them. Indian bowlers showed some fight. But, it was enough for them to ensure the victory of India. Pakistan chased down the target in 19.5 overs by five wickets. The loss did not go well with the Indian fans. They started to blame the Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma for his poor decision-making skills during the match. Even, some fans said that he should step down from T20 Captaincy if India fails to win the Asia Cup 2022.

@ImRo45 my feeling on yesterday's match. why not you use hooda for bowling while chahal and hardik was expensive .please use while we are having other option .let us move by using all option in playing 11 in critical position . We want win this in ur captaincy bro.
