‘God of the game’- Rohit Sharma impressed fans with his gesture after a fan touches his feet in viral video

The most successful franchise in the history of the Indian Premier League, Mumbai Indians are languishing at third from the bottom of the table. They have only managed to secure 3 wins out of seven.
Skipper, Rohit Sharma has been under the pump as his team hasn’t lived up to the expectations for the second season in a row.

Mumbai Indians began the season with two back to back losses but followed it up with two consecutive wins. However, Mumbai couldn’t maintain the winning momentum as Rohit Sharma and Co. were handed defeats in the last two matches. Rohit Sharma’s personal form doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence and is one of the big reasons behind Mumbai’s downfall.

In the first two matches, he scored 1(10) and 21 (13). However, in the next match against Delhi, the MI skipper, played a match-winning knock of 65 off 45 to get his campaign going. In the next two games, he got starts but couldn’t convert those into big scores and this has been the problem for him.

Rohit Sharma played a stellar knock of 44 runs in 27 balls against Punjab but the team lost that game. In the last match against Gujarat, Rohit Sharma, once again, got out cheaply. Overall, he has managed to score 181 runs in 7 matches at 25.86 and a strike rate of 135. For Mumbai to turn their fortunes around, Rohit Sharma has to produce goods with the bat. It will be interesting to see how he fares with the bat ahead in the competition.

Despite possessing bad numbers with the bat for a few years in IPL, Rohit Sharma continues to have massive fan following around the globe. There are some fans who follows him religiously.
