Google names Virat Kohli as most searched Cricketer in its 25 years’ existence

Virat Kohli was named the most searched athlete by Google after it completed 25 years since its inception. Google came into effect on the 4^th of September 1998 and has since then been one of the biggest search engines on the whole of the internet.

The former Indian skipper on Monday celebrated 6 years of married life with star wife Anushka Sharma. The duo had got married in 2017 after years of speculation about their relationship.

India’s two-match test series against South Africa will see the return of Virat Kohli after his break from the white ball formats. The extended break follows after Virat Kohli ended ODI World Cup 2023 as the leading run scorer for India.

Google recently posted a short video on Twitter where it was seen Virat Kohli accumulating a lot of searches. The Indian batter has beaten some of his compatriots when it came to being the most searched cricketer on the search engine giants.

Virat Kohli finds new fan in Rahmanullah Gurbaz –

Young Afghanistan batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz named Virat Kohli as the best player in the cover drive shot. The answer was given after ESPN CRICINFO asked the Afghan youngster to name the better player for the shot between Kohli and Babar Azam.

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli are still in the UK before the former India skipper heads to South Africa. Post the series against South Africa, India is set to host England in a five-match test series. 2024 will also see India tour Australia for a 5-match test series in what is going to be a challenging cricketing calendar.

Meanwhile, Ankit Katiyar who is a strength and conditioning coach heaped praise on Kohli’s fitness. Katiyar while speaking to the Times of India said “Virat is a leading example when it comes to fitness. He has created a culture of fitness in the team. When your top player is so fit, then you become an example for others”

The fitness coach also added “He injects confidence in others. When he was the captain, he ensured everyone stayed fit. Fitness was his top parameter in the team. He has created that culture and discipline in the team. That atmosphere was created by Virat Kohli and it’s a commendable thing. He is the reason why all the Indian players are so fit.”
