Star India batter Shubman Gill is, currently, spending his vacation in the United Kingdom. After participating in the finals of the World Test Championship 2021-23 against Australia, Gill is spending his time in Europe. During his vacation in UK, Gill visited various football clubs and collected his personalized jerseys.
In his recent visit to League 1 club Paris Saint Germain (PSG), Gill received a personalized jersey from the club. In a video shared on PSG’s Instagram account, PSG captioned “Namaste dosto (Hi, friends), here are India’s favourite cricketer and PSG fan @shubmangill at Parc des Princes.” Gill responded, “Hi everyone, this is Shubman Gill here. I want to thank everyone at PSG for having me, and Ici c’est Paris.”
It’s worth noting that a few days back, Gill was seen attending FA Cup finals along with Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma. He also met players from Manchester City and had interaction with them. He shared pictures with Kevin de Bruyne and Erling Haaland. Gill has revealed that he likes Lionel Messi and Neymar Jr. Notably both have been an integral part of PSG.
Shubman Gill will need to make a comeback in the form
After a poor game in the World Test Championship finals against Australia, Gill will be looking to make a comeback to the form as soon as possible. He has been phenomenal this year scoring 1000+ runs and five centuries across the format. In the Indian Premier League 2023, he scored 890 runs in 17 matches to clinch the Orange Cap. However, he failed to replicate his performance in the WTC finals.
India will face West Indies in two-match Test series starting from July 12 on Caribbean soil. It will be the official embarking of India’s WTC campaign for the 2023-25 cycle. India is set to face West Indies, South Africa and Australia in away games while will host Bangladesh, England and New Zealand in home games. In the upcoming cycle, India will play 20 matches which is second most after England.
