Indian star opener Shubman Gill is taking some time off in Paris amid the loss of India over Australia in the recently concluded World Test Championship (WTC) final. Notably, it follows after Gill enjoyed tremendous success in the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL), as he smashed stunning centuries against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians, which led his team towards the final.
Meanwhile, the stylish opener uploaded a picture of himself on Twitter with the caption, “Gilly in Paris’, while relishing the beautiful weather in Paris prior to the West Indies tour. Notably, the Apex Cricket Board has strongly rebuked the 23-year-old Indian hitter for questioning umpire Richard Kettle borough’s call to dismiss him in the second innings during the World Test Championship (WTC) Final following a disputed catch by Australian all-rounder Cameron Green.
Before India’s tour to the West Indies, the Punjab-born cricketer had no official commitments and is now on vacation. Since then, Gill has been enjoying an experiencing vacation and has posted multiple pictures on the internet. The right-handed opener will get back to playing after the much-needed vacation when India’s squad visits the West Indies for an all-three format series.

Notably, the opening Test will begin on the 12th of July in Dominica, whereas the second encounter is scheduled to begin on July 20 in Trinidad. The three ODIs have been scheduled to take off on July 27, July 29, and August 1, respectively.
