India batter Hanuma Vihari once again came out to bat when his side, Andhra Pradesh needed him. In the ongoing Ranji Trophy game against the defending champions, Madhya Pradesh, he got injured during the first innings. Vihari was batting at number three in the innings before he got hit by Avesh Khan’s bouncer. After this, the Andhra Pradesh skipper went off the field.

“Vihari has opted for a sling for now and is waiting. If the team requires him, he would step out. It’s a proper fracture and he has been advised five-six weeks of rest,” an Andhra team official told later on Day One. However, the former Hyderabad player in the Indian T20 League came out to bat after AP lost their ninth wicket in the first innings.

Notably, he survived till Lunch break on Day Two before becoming the last wicket to fall on the second session on Day Two. However, in the second innings as well, Hanuma came out to bat when the team lost nine wickets for just 76 runs. The right-hander scored 15 runs with three fours before getting out to Saransh Jain. Meanwhile, he has once again earned the respect of Twitterati.

In reply, the defending champions were bowled out on 228 runs, handing a hefty lead of 151 runs in the game. For the home team, Shubham Sharma scored a fifty. On the other hand, former Kolkata and Hyderabad player in the Indian T20 League, Prithvi Raj Yarra took five wickets.

In the second innings, discarded India pacer, Avesh Khan took four wickets while Gourav Yadav took three to restrict the opposition to 93 all out. Chasing 245 runs, the defending champions have amassed 135/2 and is set to win the game at the time of writing.
