“He Ran Away From English Bowling” – Fans of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma Involve Into A Fight Again On Twitter

India’s Test side is currently busy playing the fifth rescheduled Test match against England at Edgbaston in Birmingham. However, on the eve of this match, India dealt with a major setback as their regular skipper, Rohit Sharma got ruled out due to Covid-19.

Hence, Jasprit Bumrah was appointed as the captain of the side for the match. It was a major setback for Rohit also as he missed the chance of leading his country in this historical Test match. An official statement came out from the Board that he will not be a part of this match as he will go under all the required guidelines for further treatment.

After the confirmation of Rohit’s unavailability, Indian fans voted for Virat Kohli to lead the side one more time in this match. But, the Board opted for a new captain in the form of Jasprit Bumrah. This is not the first time that Rohit missed an overseas series. Before this, he missed the tour of Australia 2020, the tour of New Zealand 2020, and the tour of South Africa 2021. But, interestingly, he was the highest run-getter in this series so far as all four matches were already played last year. This match got canceled at that time just because of the sudden outbreak of Covid-19.   

However, the Indian Board also announced squads for the upcoming ODI and T20I series against England in July. Rohit Sharam was added as a leader of that squad. As of now, the match is still going on day three. But, good news has come that Rohit Sharma has finally tested two negative results and has fully healed from Covid 19.

This news did not go well with Virat Kohli fans as they took their social media platforms to troll and blame Rohit Sharma. Fans also accused him to avoid this Test match intentionally with the excuse of Covid-19.
