‘Holy Shittt, we are back baby’- Fans can’t keep calm as Indian star cricketer returns for ODI series against Sri Lanka

Team India are all set to play a white-ball series against Sri Lanka, comprising 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is. The assignment will begin with the T20 series, with the first match scheduled to be played on 3rd January 2022. A lot of senior players are rested for the T20I series.
India team fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah was rested for both the T20Is as well as the ODI series. However, as per the new statement from the Indian Cricket Board, Jasprit Bumrah has been added in the ODI series, which will be followed after the T20 internationals.
Bumrah hasn’t played any competitive cricket for a long time due to his back injury. He couldn’t participate in the Asia Cup because of his injury but he was expected to be fit for the 20-20 World Cup. He made his return in the T20I series against Australia after the conclusion of the Asia Cup.
However, he looked far from fit and, therefore, was ruled out of the subsequent T20 series against South Africa. India dearly missed the services of Japrit Bumrah in the 20-20 World Cup 2022, where to lost to England in the semi-final.
It has now been understood that Bumrah is fit to play the ODI series against Sri Lanka.
“The All-India Senior Selection Committee has included pacer Jasprit Bumrah in India’s ODI squad for the upcoming Mastercard 3-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.” Indian Cricket Board stated in its recent press release.
“The pacer has undergone rehabilitation and has been declared fit by the National Cricket Academy (NCA). He will be joining the Team India ODI squad soon,” said the BCCI in a statement”, the statement added.
