‘Hum Jeet Gaye’ – Fans Heap Praises After India Win The T20I Series Over Australia In Hyderabad

After having a dismal show in the Asia Cup 2022, India were fully ready for the three-match T20I series at home against Australia. The visitors won the series opener while India made a winning comeback in the second match. Hence, on 25 September 2022, both teams locked horns in Hyderabad for the series decider.

Speaking of the match, Rohit Sharma won the toss and he asked the Aussies to bat first. For Australia, skipper Aaron Finch and Cameron Green came out for opening the inning. They had a great start as Green started to hit boundaries from the start.

India defeated Australia by six wickets in the third T20I against Australia

Cameron Green scored 52 runs off 21 balls, at a strike rate of 247.61. He hit seven fours and three sixes in his inning. Then, in the middle order, Tim David hit his maiden T20I fifty for Australia. In his inning, David hit two fours and four sixes. David lost his wicket after scoring 54 runs off 27 balls, at a strike rate of 200. Then, Australia finished with 186 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs. For India, Axar Patel grabbed three wickets for 33 runs in his four overs. In reply, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul came out to open the innings.

But, KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma scored one and 17 runs respectively. Then, Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav settled the ship for India. They put up a partnership of 103 runs. Suryakumar Yadav scored 69 runs off 36 balls, including five fours and five sixes. While Virat Kohli scored 63 runs off 48 balls, including three fours and four sixes. But, Hardik Pandya kept his nerve as he finished the match for India. He remained not out on 25 runs off 16 balls. Thus, India won the match by six wickets over Australia. With this win, India won the series also at a margin of 2-1. Fans also loved the way India managed to win the series over the current World Champion in the shortest format of the game.
