Even in T20I cricket, I’d like to bat longer: Nicholas Pooran

The pick of the bowlers for LSG was their skipper, Krunal Pandya, who snapped two wickets in his spell of four overs, where he conceded just 24 runs in his spell. One wicket each was grabbed by Yudhvir Singh, Avesh Khan, Yash Thakur and Amit Mishra in their respective spells where they conceded 24 runs, 30 runs, 28 runs, and, 40 runs r,espectively.

LSG chase down the target with four balls remaining in the match. The top scorer for the side was Mankad, who played an unbeaten knock of 64 runs off 45 balls with seven fours and two sixes in the innings. For SRH, one wicket each was bagged by Glenn Phillips, Mayank Markande, and Abhishek Sharma in there respective spells where they conceded 10 runs, 39 runs, and 42 runs respectively.

“We spoke about adapting, we knew we could target that one over from spin, it was right up to my match-up and thankfully it came off well (on the 31-run over from Abhishek), I did enjoy my batting. It’s important to target that 6th bowler, it’s a batter’s game, no risk, no reward, you have to work on the match-ups. I’ve played enough international cricket to know how to deal with situations, I expected the bowlers to bowl yorkers and slower balls and was ready for it. Even in T20I cricket, I’d like to bat longer,” Nicholas Pooran was quoted as saying after the match.
