In Pics | Guru Randhawa, Harbhajan Singh, Sreesanth, and others meet Rishabh Pant at his residence amid his recovery
India wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant has been away from cricket since his near-fatal car accident on December 30 last year. For the first two months of the ongoing year, he was in in the hospital for treatment. Late last month, he recovered well enough to be discharged from the hospital. Soon after, he spoke about how a menial task such as brushing his teeth has become an achievement.
Meanwhile, in the recent past, former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh visited Pant at his house. This time around, the likes of Harbhajan Singh, S Sreesanth, and Suresh Raina visited the former India U19 player. Also, Punjabi singer Guru Randhawa also visited the cricketer. The likes of Singh and Sreesanth are slotted together in the Hindi commentary panel for the Indian T20 League 2023. This led to a massive gungho from the fans given their history.

Rishabh Pant has been a terrific leader and will be missed: David Warner
Meanwhile, ahead of the upcoming 16th season, David Warner has been appointed as captain. His deputy will be Axar Patel. After his appointment, Warner said that Pant has been a terrific leader and the team will miss him.
“Rishabh has been a terrific leader for Delhi Capitals, and we’re all going to miss having him around. I would like to thank the management for the faith and trust they’ve always shown in me. This franchise has always been home for me, and I couldn’t be more excited to lead such a supremely talented bunch of players. I can’t wait to meet them all, and get crackin,” A release by Delhi quoted Warner as saying.
On the other hand, former Indian Cricket Board president, Sourav Ganguly has returned to the franchise as director. He left the team in 2019 after taking up the job on the board due to avoid a conflict of interests. He has joined the team and met the players recently.
