Shreyas Iyer: Although Shreyas Iyer could not score big in Delhi, he will preserve his place. Iyer played well when he won India his last Test match against Bangladesh at Mirpur before playing in Delhi. He is still someone who can be counted upon, one bad game should not be decisive.

KS Bharat (c): KS Bharat looked sharp behind the stumps in the first two tests. Especially with KL Rahul not included in this XI, Bharat’s inclusion is almost certain. He looked good finishing the game in Delhi remaining unbeaten at 23 off 22 balls.

Axar Patel: India is blessed with some amazing allrounders. Therefore, the team can cut on the number of pure bowlers. Axar Patel would be the next man in the line-up. He has been crucial with the bat for India in the BGT series so far, his place in the XI is given.
