India vs South Africa: Three big changes India needs to do to win the second T20I against South Africa
Team India kicked off their five-match T20I series against South Africa on a losing note as they lost the match by seven wickets. As KL Rahul got ruled out of the series due to a groin injury on the eve of that match, Rishabh Pant was handed over the captaincy duties. But, his first match as captain in his hometown, Delhi did not go as per plans.
Team India was on the verge of creating a World record of winning 13 T20I matches on a trot. But, the Proteas prevented the men in blue from doing that due to their excellent batting performance while chasing a mammoth total of 212 runs. Hence, Team India will look to bounce back in a winning way in the next match on Sunday, 12 June.
Here are some changes that need to be done in the team for winning the next match:
Inclusion of Umran Malik into the playing XI
Despite posting a huge total of 211 runs with the bat, Team India failed to defend due to their bowling department’s failure. India went with three pacers in the likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Avesh Khan, and Harshal Patel. Avesh Khan still managed to put the Proteas in some trouble due to his pace. But, South African batters easily handled Bhuvneshwar and Harshal Patel throughout their innings.
Hence, the inclusion of Umran Malik can help India to produce more threats to the opponent. He is coming off an excellent Indian T20 League for his Hyderabad franchise by picking up 22 wickets in 14 matches at an economy of 9.03. His continuous pace of 145±kmph could be a threat for the opposition batters.
