Indian Cricket Board confirms the opening pair of the Indian Test Team for the fifth Test against England

The Indian Team is scheduled to play the rescheduled fifth and final Test match along with a three-match T20I series and ODI series. India named a full-strength squad for this only Test as they are on the verge of winning a Test series in England.
In the recently concluded home T20I series against South Africa, big players like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Jasprit Bumrah were given rest ashed of this vital tour of England. Now, all these players reached England and headed to Leicestershire to play their only four-day warm-up match before the Test match. Some players like Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer along with the head coach, Rahul Dravid traveled late after drawing the T20I series at a margin of 2-2 as the last match got washed away. They will join the rest of the Team straight in Leicestershire only. However, the Indian Cricket Board shared a net session video of the Team on their official Instagram account.
India is going to play a four-day warm-up match against Leicestershire
Indian players are already at Leicestershire for their one and only four-day warm-up match before the final Test. Players are gearing up in proper net sessions as a video was shared on 20 June 2022. The video got posted with a caption: “#TeamIndia openers captain @rohitsharma45 and @shubmangill are getting into the groove on Day 1 of our nets session.”

In the video, it was seen that both Indian openers, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill were practicing a different range of shorts including a pull short. Both the players were looking to work on their game ahead of the Test match. This video may suggest that the Indian Board indicated their opening pair for the fifth Test match.
