Hyderabad will face Lucknow in the 12th match of the Indian T20 League 2022 at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai. Hyderabad is coming into the match after a defeat against Rajasthan in their first match of the tournament. Lucknow on the other hand is coming on the back of their first win this season against Chennai in their last match.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad was outplayed by Rajasthan in all aspects of the game in their first match of the tournament. They were poor with their efforts in both the batting and bowling departments. While the bowlers leaked runs, their batters were unable to put up any resistance against the Rajasthan bowlers. They lost the match by a big margin of 61 runs. So, it will be interesting to see if they go for a change in their team combination against Lucknow. As the team was batted out of the match by the Rajasthan team, they might opt to include Marco Jansen in place of Romario Shepherd to strengthen their bowling.

Hyderabad will be hoping that Markram continues with his good form and gives them the middle order solidity that they require.
Kane Williamson: The skipper of the team Williamson is also their biggest asset in the batting department. After failing in the first match, he will look to come back strong and contribute to taking his team to a formidable total.
Bhuvneswar Kumar: Bhuvi was the only bowler for Hyderabad in the match against Rajasthan who looked economical/ The team will hope that he does the same in the next match and also guides a relatively inexperienced bowling attack.
Lucknow: After a defeat against Gujarat in their opening match of the tournament Lucknow came back strong in their second game against Chennai. While chasing a huge target of 211 runs they looked very professional and composed about how they went on with the chase. A superb effort in the middle order by Evin Lewis (55 off 23) ensured that they chased down the big target and registered their first points in the tournament. They will be hoping to continue their batting form while improving the bowling aspect. The availability of Jason Holder will boost the morale of the team ahead of the clash.

KL Rahul: KL Rahul along with Quinton de Kock laid the platform for their successful chase in the match against Chennai. He looked in brilliant touch during his knock of 40 runs off 26 deliveries in the match. The team will hope that he continues with the form he has found and converts the starts into big ones.
Quinton de Kock: De Kock deserves as much credit as Evin Lewis for Lucknow’s win against Chennai. He did the job of giving his team an aggressive start, which was required for the stellar chase. A continuation of the form and giving them a solid counter-attacking start is what the team will hope from him.
Jason Holder: His reputation as a world-class all-rounder in the international arena will be an asset for Lucknow. Lucknow will hope he impacts the match in more ways than one.
