Mumbai has been the Indian T20 League‘s most successful team. They have played some great cricket over the years and have been able to win the championship five times so far. In the past, they have had some great overseas players. From Ricky Ponting, Lasith Malinga, Kieron Pollard to Trent Boult more recently, they have had many match-winners.
As all the teams have had major transformations ahead of the 2022 season, the overseas talent of Mumbai also looks very different. Here are the four players that can start in the playing XI for Mumbai this season.
Kieron Pollard
It is a no brainer that Kieron Pollard will fill in one of the overseas slots for Mumbai. He has been a major part of the Mumbai franchise for many years now and has seen all its ups and downs. Pollard was a part of the team in all its title wins, and a lot of credit for the win goes to him.
It is not just his batting that makes him important, he can field well too. His athleticism at the boundary has proven to be very crucial at times. He was retained by the team ahead of the mega auction for the 2022 seasons.
