Indian T20 League 2023 Auction: Indian Cricket Board announces complete Auction player list
The Indian T20 League 2023 Player auction list is out with a total of 405 cricketers set to go under the hammer in Kochi on December 23rd, 2022. Initially, a total of 369 players were shortlisted by 10 teams from the initial list of 991 players. Thirty Six additional players were requested by teams, which are added into the final list which makes a total of 405 players which will be presented at the Indian T20 League 2023 Auction.
Out of 405 players, 273 are Indians and 132 are overseas players of which 4 players are from associate nations. Out of the 132 overseas players, 27 are from England which includes the likes of Ben Stokes and Joe Root. All-rounder Cameroon Green is part of the 21 players from Australia in the list. 22 are from South Africa, 20 from West Indies, 10 from New Zealand and 8 from Afghanistan.

The total number of capped players are 119, uncapped players are 282 and 4 are from associate nations. A maximum of 87 slots are now available with up to 30 being slotted for overseas players. INR 2 crore is the highest reserve price with 19 overseas players choosing to be slotted in the highest bracket.
11 players are in the auction list with a base price of INR 1.5 crore. Manish Pandey and Mayank Agarwal are the two Indian players in the list of 20 cricketers with a base price of INR 1 crore. The auction is scheduled to start at 2:30 pm (IST) on 23rd December in Kochi.
Hyderabad has the largest auction purse
The remaining auction pool for franchises is INR 206.5 crore. The Hyderabad franchise has the largest auction purse of Rs 42.25 crore, while Kolkata franchise has the smallest with Rs 7.05 crore remaining.
Kolkata were the busiest in the trading window, securing the services of India all-rounder Shardul Thakur from Delhi Franchise and New Zealand pacer Lockie Ferguson and Afghanistan wicketkeeper-batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz from defending champions Gujarat. Kolkata also traded out Aman Khan to Delhi.
Each team will have an additional Rs 5 crore apart from their Rs 90 crore salary cap for the mini-auction.
