Team India is currently busy playing the ongoing Asia Cup in UAE. However, India made a fantastic start by winning both of their matches in the group stage. They won against Pakistan and Hong Kong. But, in the next round ‘Super Four’, India failed to continue their winning momentum.

They already lost two matches against Pakistan and Sri Lanka. However, with those losses, India is currently on the verge of getting knocked out of the tournament. They have a very slim chance of the final depending on the results of the other team’s matches. It was a very shocking result for all Indian fans as India came to this tournament as one of the favourites.

Fans urge to boycott Indian T20 League on Twitter as they shared their anger with Indian players

Speaking of the last match against Sri Lanka, India batted first as Dasun Shanaka won the toss. He asked India to bat first. However, India scored 173 runs in 20 overs by losing eight wickets. Rohit Sharma was the highest scorer with 72 runs off 41 balls. But, in reply, Sri Lankan batters batted brilliantly to chase it down in 19.5 overs. Indian bowlers were unable once again to take wickets during the match. Thus, apart from that first game against Pakistan, India failed to take 10 wickets in any of the matches.

After the loss against Sri Lanka, Indian fans were not happy with such a dismal performance from the players. They started to show their anger at them on Twitter by making ‘#boycottindiant20league’ trending on that platform.

Fans blamed these Indian players for lacking that intensity and pride when they are playing for the nation. They said that former players were much more devoted to their performance, unlike these players. Fans said that these players only prefer playing the Indian T20 League for money and commercial purposes. They play with more passion and intensity in that league rather than in international matches.

Here is how fans have raised their voice for boycotting this rich-vein Indian T20 League in India:
