Meanwhile, during CSK vs LSG game, presenter Danny Morrison splendidly asked the two-time world cup-winning captain how he’s enjoying the tremendous support at every place in his final season. Dhoni being Dhoni responded with a cheeky reply which left fans split.
“This wonderful swansong tour is your last. How are you enjoying it?” Morrison asked after Dhoni won the toss and received a round of applause from the supporters at the Ekana Cricket Stadium. “You’ve decided it is my last,” a smiling Dhoni replied. After his cheeky remark, Morrison corrected himself and said, “I Knew it. You are going to come back.”
Fully fit Deepak Chahar makes a comeback
Amid the injury fears in the ongoing tournament, star CSK pacer Deepak Chahar makes a comeback after getting match fitness. After winning the toss, CSK skipper MS Dhoni called LSG to bat first. The CSK captain explained that considering the pitch’s characteristics, including the fact that it was kept under covers for a time, he chose to bowl first if rain played a spoilsport. Dhoni also made one change to CSK’s starting lineup: Deepak Chahar who was finally fit to play replaced Akash Singh in the team.
Meanwhile, the decision of bowling first went well with the visitors as Maheesh Teekshna, Ravindra Jadeja and Moeen Ali ruptured LSG’s top order. Hosts were restricted to 44-5 in 9.4 overs. Opener, Kyle Mayers and Manan Vohra failed to give a good start to the hosts. In the 6th over Teekshna dismissed Vohra and stand-in skipper Krunal Pandya on two consecutive balls to Trouble LSG.
