Many teams in the inaugural Indian Premier League had star players who were local heroes. Sachin was in Mumbai, Ganguly was in Kolkata, Dravid was in Bangalore, but MS Dhoni was in Chennai. Every IPL season that Chennai has participated in under his direction has featured a concern. He has helped his team several times steal victory from the jaws of defeat, and they never give up.
