KL Rahul makes hilarious remarks about getting injured by a throw by his teammate during LSG’s clash with RR

Lucknow Super Gianta skipper KL Rahul came up with a hilarious reply when was asked about getting hurt after being hit by a throw from one of the fielders. Rahul got hurt in the hand by the throw from one of his teammates when LSG were defending 154 runs against Rajasthan Royals in match number 26 of IPL 2023 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
LSG bowlers did a great job as they restricted RR to 144 for 6 winning the game by 10 runs. Rahul also reflected on the performance of his team. The skipper said that he and his opening partner Kyle Mayers were told that 160 would be a good total on the Jaipur pitch.
“I got hit by one of the throws from my own teammates. I am doing something wrong as a captain clearly,” Rahul said hilariously at the post-match presentation when was asked about the injured finger.

“In the 10 over mark, the message me and Kyle [Mayers] sent out was 160 would be a good total on this track, they have some good bowlers as well who exploited the conditions. We fell 10 short but made up with the ball. And there was no dew so made it fair for both teams,” Rahul said on his team’s win over RR.
“We came in here yesterday [Tuesday] and saw 180 would be a par score, but the first over from [Trent] Boult, me and Kyle had a chat and realised this isn’t a 180 wicket. The ball was keeping a bit low, so we gave ourselves time in the powerplay. Maybe if we played a bit better, we might have got 170 as well,” he further added.
RR had a good start chasing 155 runs as Yashasvi Jaiswal(44 off 35) and Jos Buttler (40 off 41) added 87 runs for the first wicket in 11.3 overs. After that, the hosts started losing momentum following a series of wickets. Devdutt Padikkal and Riyan Parag took the innings further by adding 45 runs for the fifth wicket, but Avesh Khan took 2 wickets in the last over to take the game away from RR. However, RR are still at the top of the points table, while LSG remain in the second position.
