‘Laadla is better than being bhikhaari’ – fans on Twitter slam Mohammad Hafeez for his ‘laadla’ comments on India
Mohammad Hafeez is the talk of the town of late and it is not because of his cricketing legacy. The former Pakistani batter made a controversial comment against Rohit Sharma recently and it went viral. Once again, the batter has found himself in the midst of controversy and he has only himself to blame.
Recently, in an interview with a local news channel, Hafeez criticized the Indian team saying that the country is just a money-making thing. He used the word ‘laadla’ and fans went berserk against him yet again. This is not something new for Team India as they have already been blamed for being rich. The 42-year-old further frustrated the fans by adding that the team doesn’t perform well.
“I don’t know a lot, but I definitely know that in our society, whoever is the earner is loved by everyone, is the most laadla (pampered), gets the most kisses from everyone,” he said in the interview. This comment hurt some of the Indian fans who are already denigrating him for his opinion on Rohit Sharma. Hafeez posted the video of the interview on his official Twitter handle.
“India is a revenue-making country. So even in bilateral series across the world, where they get sponsorship, they get a jackpot, it’s hard to deny these things,” he added further.
Mohammad Hafeez’s take on Rohit Sharma
Mohammad Hafeez earlier criticized the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma for his poor body language. He opined that the Mumbai batter looked pressurized because of captaincy and suggested giving it up. “Did you see Rohit Sharma’s expressions after the match. His team won by 40 runs. Rohit looked weak to me when he came in for the toss. He looked nervous and confused. He is not looking like the Rohit Sharma of old who plays brilliant innings,” Hafeez said.
The 42-year-old said further, “He looks to be a captain under extreme pressure. He is facing many problems right now including his own form. It is on the decline.”
The Twitter community came up with some interesting tweets for his ‘laadla’ comment and we have handpicked a few:
