Lionel Messi’s teammate accused of rape, investigation ongoing

Paris Saint-Germain superstar, Lionel Messi‘s teammate, Achraf Hakimi has been accused of rape. The latter played for Morocco in the team’s maiden semifinal finish in the FIFA World Cup 2022. Meanwhile, the Moroccan player is in investigative custody since February 27. On the other hand, the PSG officials are yet to speak up on the matter. Also, Hakimi is yet to speak his side of the story.

He didn’t play in PSG’s game against Marseille, which they won. He was ruled out due to thigh problems. Meanwhile, as reported by  Le Parisien, the 24-year-old defender began talking to the woman on January 16 on Instagram. The player is alleged to have invited her to his home. Notably, Hakimi’s wife Hiba Abouk – is currently holidaying in Dubai with their young two sons.

Meanwhile, the accuser claims that after arriving at his home, the PSG defender began kissing her on the mouth while lifting her clothes. She alleged he kissed her breasts despite her protesting, before digitally penetrating her without consent. It will be interesting to see how this case goes. Meanwhile, Hakimi and his wife have been married since 2020.

In the same year, they welcomed their first child, and their second child was born in 2022. Talking about Hakimi’s wife, Hiba is famous for the Spanish crime drama El Principe.

The accuser is yet to file a criminal case

“Achraf Hakimi is under investigation for rape. A young woman went to the police station this weekend, where she said she was raped by the PSG player and the prosecution took up the case despite the woman’s refusal to file a complaint,” as reported by Le Parisian.
