A police case has been filed against the Brazilian winger Antony after his ex-girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin accused him of domestic abuse. According to Sport Witness and Brazilian newspaper Ge Globo, Antony’s ex-girlfriend reported the Red Devils striker to the authorities on Monday, June 5. On May 20, she claims Antony assaulted her. According to the complaint, the Brazilian sent threatening messages and pictures of injuries. He is charged with “domestic violence, threatening behaviour, and physical abuse.”

However, it should be remembered that the 23-year-old was a Manchester United player on the alleged date of the event. On May 10, he participated in a 1-0 victory over Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium. The player and his club have not yet responded to the charges. For £85 million, Antony transferred from Ajax to Erik ten Hag’s team last summer. According to rumours, Cavallin and Antony started dating last year. The couple was expecting their first child when she posted on social media in June 2022 that she had a miscarriage.

Mason Greenwood can return to Manchester United next season

Mason Greenwood’s future with Manchester United is apparently in manager Erik ten Hag’s hands. Since his imprisonment in January 2022, the English forward has not competed for the team. In addition to assault, he was accused of trying to rape someone. In February of this year, the 21-year-old’s accusations were later withdrawn. That resulted from a confluence of fresh knowledge and the departure of important witnesses.

When these accusations were made against Greenwood, Manchester United suspended him. In light of criticism over the prospect of his return, the Englishman’s status at Old Trafford has grown dubious. According to Football Transfers, Ten Hag wants the attacker back in his team for the upcoming campaign. According to them, the Dutch coach admires his football skills and wants him to stay with the Red Devils.

Board members, who believe Greenwood shouldn’t play for the club once more, are opposed to Ten Hag. In 129 appearances in all competitions, he has 35 goals and 12 assists. The appearance of audio and video material that was made available to the public has worsened Greenwood’s situation. Fans are furious over the possibility that the English attacker will visit Old Trafford again because of this.
