Recently, Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo gave an explosive interview against his club. During the conversation, he alleged that he has been ‘betrayed’ by the team manager, Erik Ten Hag. The 37-year-old also went on to say that if he doesn’t receive respect, he won’t be returning it either. The Portuguese further alleged the team trying to force him out of their squad.

“I don’t have respect for him [Ten Hag] because he doesn’t show respect for me,” Ronaldo said in a fragment of the interview that will air in full on Wednesday on “Piers Morgan Uncensored.”

“If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never gonna have respect for you.”

“Manchester United tried to force me out,” he said.

“Not only the manager, but the other two or three guys who are around the club [at the senior executive level]. I felt betrayed. I don’t care, people should listen to the truth. Yes, I felt betrayed. I feel that some people didn’t want me here, not only this year but last season too.”

Manchester United has removed Cristiano Ronaldo’s poster

After the explosive interview, Cristiano Ronaldo’s part of the poster named “Theatre of Dreams” has been removed. The poster was pasted on Old Trafford. The video of the incident has been going viral. Notably, reports suggest that the poster was removed as part of a rebranding for the final of the men’s and women’s Rugby League World Cup final on November 19. However, the timing of the poster removal has fueled speculations.

Currently, the football leagues have been paused with FIFA World Cup starting on November 18. Ronaldo has joined his national side for the showpiece event in Qatar. In the tournament, the legendary player has a record to break. Ronaldo needs three more goals in the tournament to surpass Eusebio as the top goal-scorer for Portugal. Eusebio netted 9 FIFA World Cup goals, in the 1966 edition of the tournament to win the golden boot.
