Pat Cummins gets wholesomely praised by Michael Vaughan –

After Australia’s 79-run win over Pakistan in MCG, Australian skipper Pat Cummins was the cynosure of all eyes. The 30-year-old got his second fifer of the game to help his side win the Test as well as the series.

Former England skipper Michael Vaughan while speaking to Fox Sport said “In years gone by, he’s certainly going to be talked of in the same breath as McGrath and Lillee. That bowling average is low now, but I think it will get better”

Mark Waugh speaking about Pat Cummins said “I reckon early in his career he was luckless. He didn’t get a lot of wickets in the first part of his career. He just bowled a fraction short, but he beat the bat a lot. It took a while for him to get the big numbers up, but he hasn’t looked back in the last couple of years. He’s going to be one of the all-time greats”

This year the Australians have mastered every facet of the game they played. Their first title win came in June when they beat India to win the World Test Championships. This was followed by a drawn Ashes series which helped Pat Cummins to retain the urn.

The biggest prize though was achieved on the 19th of November, when Australia won the ODI World Cup 2023 tournament. This was the sixth time the men in yellow had won the tournament after beating India in the finals by six wickets. Travis Head had scored 137 runs to help his side win the title against the much-fancied home team.
