Team India is all set to lock horns against Australia for the final clash of the ODI World Cup 2023 at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium with just a few minutes to go. Notably, both teams gave sensational performances in the marquee event and reached the final. The hosts beat New Zealand in their last clash, whereas the five-time world champions eventually overcame South Africa to make their way to the finals.

Ahead of the game, former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif shared a heartwarming video wishing good luck to Team India from the Ahmedabad ground. Notably, the great cricketer was later joined by renowned broadcaster Jatin Sapru in his video. Both great cricket commentators have wished for Team India to lift the trophy in the finals.

The legendary cricketer recalled the phase when Sourav Ganguly-led India lost the 2003 ODI World Cup final against Australia despite performing well in the game. Mohammad Kaif also talked about how Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar was totally disappointed despite getting the Player of the Tournament award in the 2003 ODI World Cup.

Notably, the clip has gone viral with a lot of wishes for Team India. The former India cricketer turned analyst took to social media as well and posted this video with a heartfelt note for the hosts. Former India batter Mohammad Kaif took to micro-blogging platform ‘X’ to wish Team India the best. “Best wishes Team India #INDvsAUSfinal,” he posted.

In addition, cricketer-turned-commentator Sanjay Manjrekar, when asked about his take on the final, said that India was the “best team”. “India is the best team, jo bhi ho, India is the best team,” Manjrekar said on arriving in Ahmedabad on Saturday.

Irfan Pathan, former all-rounder, hoped the players were well relaxed ahead of the big day. “My mind hasn’t stopped working. Can’t think about anything else other than the final tomorrow.
