The Indian T20 League reached a new milestone when its TV and media rights got sold at a humongous amount for the next five years cycle. The board also decided to extend this tournament to gather more attraction by considering more top talents around the globe. However, the same incident did not go well with the Pakistan Cricket Board as they are looking to challenge the decision of extending the window for the Indian T20 League from next year.

Secretary of the Indian Cricket Board, Jay Shah said that in the next FTP cycle, this tournament will have an official two-and-a-half-month window and that will help all top international players to participate. In reply to this decision, Pakistan Cricket Board’s chairman, Ramiz Raza opened up to the media and said that he will share his views on this with the Governing body of Cricket.

On Friday, in a press conference, he said: “There has been no announcement or decision as yet on the Indian T20 League window being increased. I will give my views on this issue at the Governing body of Cricket’s conference,”

As per his point of view, if the Indian T20 League runs for such a long time, then all the top players will be busy in that. Bilateral series, around the globe, will be affected badly and the quality of those series will be harmed eventually. He also opened up on Pakistan cricket’s success, since September 2021.

He also added that they will change it in a forceful manner if it is required. “My point is clear: if there is any development in world cricket that means we are being short-changed, we will challenge it in a very forceful manner and put our point across strongly in the Governing body of Cricket,” he concluded.

However, his comments regarding the decision of the Indian T20 League did not go well for the fans as they took up the social media platform to share their thoughts loud and clear.

Here is how Twitter users have reacted to his comments:
