Pakistan cricketer gives befitting reply to journalist mocking Virat Kohli’s century
Virat Kohli scored his 46th ODI in the recently-concluded third ODI series against Sri Lanka in Thiruvananthapuram. After he scored his hundred, a Pakistani journalist tried to mock the former India skipper’s hundred. The former said took to Twitter and said that Kohli is at his best when there is no pressure. The reporter added that there is no harm in gaining confidence when the series is not on line.
In reply, Pakistan cricketer Sohaib Maqsood replied by asking whether the journalist is sure about his statement. The former urged the journalist to ‘grow up’ and advised that two wrongs don’t make a right.
“Virat Kohli is at his best when there’s no pressure, series not on the line and conditions great for batting. There’s no harm in gaining confidence and form in such matches, India need him to perform well in Test cricket with Australia coming over too tho. #INDvSL,” he tweeted.
Sohaib Maqsood shut the reporter by tweeting, “Are you sure he is only best when there is no pressure grow up yar two wrongs dont make one right.”
Virat Kohli wasn’t getting runs on placid wickets during the lean patch: Sohaib Maqsood
After getting the reply, the journalist wasn’t ready to give up. He pointed out that Kohli’s maiden T20I hundred in the Men’s Asia Cup last year also didn’t come under pressure. In reply, the right-hander replied that when Virat was out of form, he wasn’t getting runs on flat pitches too.
“Sohaib bhai, for a player to regain confidence nothing helps more than favourable conditions. He had a lean patch but he needed a match against Afghanistan in the Asia Cup when India were not in the tournament and then against Bangladesh when they had lost the series already,” he tweeted.
The Pakistan cricketer once again replied “When he wasnt getting runs he wasnt even getting on these roads tell me the country or pitches where he hasnt scored centuries???if they troll baber we all know how bigger player is baber ignore that,” he said.
