Pakistan journalists get visas to cover ODI WC 2023 match between India and Pakistan
Pakistan had complained to India for delaying the process of giving visas to their fans and journalists to cover the match between India and Pakistan in the ODI World Cup 2023. The two big teams are set to face each other in Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad. The match between the two teams is expected to be a huge spectacle of cricket. A lot of fans are expected to be in the stadium for the match.
However, there was an issue with the visas of Pakistani fans and journalists. As it led to uncertainty among the fans and journalists, the chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board, Zaka Ashraf, expressed his disappointment with the same. Following the statement of Ashraf, the Indian embassy fastened the process of visa issuing. The journalists from Pakistan have finally got their visas for the tournament.
Zaka Ashraf stayed in Pakistan till the issue of the journalists was solved. As it is solved now, along with the journalists, he is set to arrive in India to watch the match between India and Pakistan. Ashraf had asked Pakistan’s foreign secretary in India to look into the matter of fastening the process of issuing visas to Pakistan journalists.

“I have delayed my travel to India, and I am travelling tomorrow after receiving confirmation that Pakistan’s journalists have been asked to submit their passports to obtain visas to cover the mega-event. I am happy that my conversation with the foreign office helped in achieving a positive development regarding the visa delay,” said Ashraf in the press conference.
The match between India and Pakistan has received a lot of attention. A lot of stars from India are likely to watch the match. Some of the biggest movie stars, former cricketers, and political leaders are expected to be in the stadium. The stars like Sachin Tendulkar, Rajinikanth, and Amitabh Bachchan, who have golden tickets, will be in the stadium. India’s home minister Amit Shah is also likely to be in the stadium to watch the match.
