India is scheduled to play the fifth and rescheduled Test match against England at the Edgbaston, Birmingham from 1 July 2022. However, India is leading the series with a margin of 2-1 already. Hence, India can create history by winning this series if they avoid a loss.

Speaking of the opponents, England will come off a series victory over the current World Test Champion New Zealand as they are already leading the series 2-0, with one more match to go. Now, Indian head coach Rahul Dravid sent a warning to his players ahead of this match.

England is playing really well at the moment. I mean they are playing some really good cricket” – Rahul Dravid

Rahul Dravid was busy with his boys in a home T20I series against South Africa which ended at a scoreline of 2-2. As the last match got washed away, the Indian head coach came for the post-match press conference. He said: “In terms of the Test match, it is going to be exciting. For us, it is a one-off Test match, but it’s World Test Championship (WTC) points. It’s a series on the line for the guys who played a part in it (last year), and they are very keen to try and win that series and do well. So looking forward to that,”

He also added that England is playing good quality cricket at the moment. He said: “It is always lovely to play a Test match in England; the crowds are going to be fantastic. You expect really good crowds in England when you play Test cricket there. And England is playing really well at the moment. I mean they are playing some really good cricket.”

Dravid also said that he is looking forward to this match as the stage is set for an exciting affair between these two sides. “It’s probably a bit different to when we were there last year when England was probably a little bit on the back foot. But they have played a couple of good games (against New Zealand), and we have got a pretty good squad as well. Hopefully, it will be a good match. I love watching Test cricket, love playing it, love coaching it. Looking forward to it,” he concluded.
