Horns of a dilemma: KL Rahul and Rahul Dravid is all set to take huge decisions before the 1st T20

The Indian T20 League 2022 has reached its end with the debutants, Gujarat emerging as the winner of the tournament. With the franchise duties now over, the Indian players will now be back donning the national jersey. India will be playing against South Africa in a five-match T20I series at home. The first match of the series is scheduled for 9th June in Delhi. KL Rahul will be taking up the role of captaincy in the series. KL Rahul and the Head Coach of the team Rahul Dravid will have to take a call on three points for the series. These three points will be important for the Indian team while going forward in their preparations for the T20 World Cup 2022.
The three calls that KL Rahul and Rahul Dravid will have to take are:
1. The best bowling option for India: For the series, the Indian team has some great options. In the case of spin bowling, KL Rahul has two great weapons in his arsenal in the form of Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal. Keeping the balance of the team in mind and the series taking place on Indian pitches, it is expected that both of them will make it into the playing eleven.
The dilemma for KL Rahul will be to select a perfect pace combination for the team. He has five options to select from – Avesh Khan, Umran Malik, Harshal Patel, Bhuvneswar Kumar, and Arshdeep SinghOfom these five bowlers only, Harshal Patel has been both economical and potent in the Indian T20 League 2022. The other four can be divided into two categories. One category includes Avesh Khan and Umran Malik, who has picked up plenty of wickets but have been expensive. On the other hand, are Bhuvneswar Kumar and Arshdeep Singh, who have been economical but have not returned enough wickets.
