RCB’s 3 biggest losses in terms of runs in IPL
RCB v KXIP – 111 runs, 17th May 2011
RCB locked horns with the then Kings XI Punjab in the 63rd match of the 4th edition of the Indian Premier League. Batting first, KXIP amassed a huge total of 232 runs in 20 overs, courtesy of a brilliant century by former legendary Australian cricketer Adam Gilchrist, who played a marvelous inning of 106 runs off just 55 balls.
He was accompanied by his fellow Aussie Shaun Marsh who smashed 79 runs from 49 deliveries. In response, RCB managed to score only 121 runs as KXIP spinner Piyush Chawla produced a brilliant bowling figure of 4 for 17 runs and helped the team to win the match by 111 runs.
