Road Safety World Series, 2022: Leading Run-scorer, Leading Wicket-taker, And The Updated Points Table After 12 Matches
The second edition of the Road Safety World Series began on 10 September 2022. In the first season of this tournament, India Legends won the final against Sri Lanka Legends. Hence, fans were happy to see former players in action again around the globe. Even, Indian fans were hoping for a repetition of their team’s performance this season also.
However, as of now, 12 matches have been completed. Sri Lanka Legends have shown full dominance so far with three wins out of three games. Speaking about India Legends, they have gathered four points from three games. Among those, two games were no results as they got two points from them. However, some players have surprised fans with their performances so far.

Currently, Dilshan Munaweera is the highest run-scorer in this edition of the tournament. In three matches, he has scored 145 runs, at an average of 72.50. He has also hit one fifty for Sri Lanka Legends. His best score of 95* runs came against Australia Legends. Munaweera has scored those runs at a strike rate of 111.53.
Leading Wicket-taker
Currently, Sri Lanka Legends’ Nuwan Kulasekara is the highest wicket-taker in the Road Safety World Series 2022. He has taken eight wickets in three matches, at an average of 10. Nuwan has bowled only at an economy of 7.27. His best performance came against Australia Legends. Kulasekara took four wickets by conceding 36 runs in four overs against the Aussies.
Updated Points Table
After 12 matches of this year’s tournament, Sri Lanka Legends are sitting at the top of the table. They have gained six points by winning all three matches so far. Meanwhile, Bangladesh Legends are sitting at the bottom of the table. They have lost all three matches so far in the tournament. Speaking about other teams, all of them have opened their accounts. West Indies Legends have gained six points from four games. While, both India Legends and New Zealand Legends have gained four points from three and four games respectively.
