Talismanic Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is having a dream run in 2021. After becoming the leading wicket-taker in 20-20 World Cups, the legendary cricketer has added another record to his already impressive career. During the second Test match against Pakistan, the 34-year-old become just the sixth cricketer in the history of Test cricket to score 4000 Test runs and pick 200 wickets.

He got to the landmark in just 59 Tests, thus becoming the fastest player to achieve this staggering feat. Former England all-rounder Ian Botham took 69 Tests, legendary former West Indian cricketer Sir Garfield Sobers took 80 Test matches and Kapil Dev reached the landmark in 97 matches. Legendary South African cricketer Jacques Kallis and former New Zealand all-rounder Daniel Vittori took 102 and 101 Tests respectively.

Shakib is one of the greatest all-rounders to have played the game in the 21st century. Not only in Tests, but his ODI and T20I record is also staggering. He is among the only four all-rounders to score over 6000 runs and take 250 wickets in ODIs. In the T20 format, he has managed to score 5000 runs and take 300 wickets.

In the two-match Test series against Pakistan, the Bangladesh all-rounder managed to perform well. He ended up scoring 96 runs in two innings. The southpaw waged a lone battle after Pakistan skipper Babar Azam enforced the follow-on. He scored 63 runs and delayed the inevitable.

The hosts went down by an innings and eight runs. They lost the T20I and Test series 3-0 and 2-0 respectively to Pakistan.
