Shubman Gill gets a befitting reply from fake Swiggy account, fans have fun on Twitter

Elon Musk has taken over the micro-blogging site Twitter. The latest endeavor of Musk has prompted a number of his fans suggesting him what they would like to see from him in the near future. One such fan is the Indian cricketer, Shubman Gill who suggested the American multi-billionaire to take over the food delivery franchise, Swiggy.
Gill made a tweet suggesting the failure of Swiggy to deliver orders in time. His Tweet read- “Elon musk, please buy swiggy so they can deliver on time. @elonmusk #swiggy.”

But what grabbed the attention of the mass and surprised everybody was Swiggy hitting back at Gill taking a dig at his T20 strike rate. The food delivery franchise hit back by Tweeting – “We are still faster than your batting in T20 cricket.”

The reply from Swiggy got the fans reacting and responding to it very quickly. A group of the fans started commenting that it was not right on their part to insult an international-level cricketer. While another group started trolling Gill on receiving a ‘befitting reply.’ However, the users soon noticed that the account was not the official one of Swiggy. It was a fake account and it took out a lot of the intense emotions that the fans were having after reading Tweet. They, however, called out the official Swiggy account and asked them to take a note of the incident.

Speaking of Shubman Gill, his form has blown hot and cold in the Indian T20 League 2022. He started the season on high with two brilliant half-centuries but since then has found it hard to get going. He has played 9 matches in the tournament scoring 260 runs in them at an average of 28.89. But notably, his strike rate for the season (137.57) has been a lot better than the past two seasons.
Meanwhile, Gill’s franchise Gujarat is in great form winning eight of their nine matches. They are currently placed at the top of the table with 16 points. In their latest outing against Bangalore, Gujarat won by six wickets in the last over of the match.
