MS Dhoni is set to play his final Indian T20 League this year
Dhoni has been retired from international cricket from 15th August 2020. Since then, he has been playing Indian T20 League for his long-time franchise, Chennai. He led the team in the two-and-a-half seasons as Ravindra Jadeja led the team for the first half of the 2022 edition. Meanwhile, he has already made his wish in public about wanting to play his last game in front of the Chennai crowd
Since 2020, the tournament has been played in limited venues in the UAE and India. None of the teams have had the luxury to play at their home turfs. However, the upcoming 16th season will see the tournament returning to the home and away-format after 2019. The four-time winners will play nine games at home with 10 teams participating in the tournament.
Now, with the tournament set to go its old format, the Ranchi player might hang up his boots after this year’s edition.
