Star cricketer’s wife wants Jos Buttler as her second husband

Jos Buttler has been in brilliant form in the ongoing season of the Indian T20 League. Especially during the first phase of the tournament, Buttler was at his brutal best. The cameramen have often panned the camera to a lady in the stands cheering for the English wicketkeeper. Fans have thus far assumed that she is Buttler’s wife. But as it turns out she is actually married to the South African batter Rassie van der Dussen. Her name is Lara van der Dussen, and she has given a hilarious response to the confusion.

In a podcast of the franchise, Mrs. Van der Dussen said – “I think I’ve now adopted Jos as my second husband it seems. I’ve been known as Louise, I think that’s what his wife’s name is, I haven’t met her before that makes it worse.”

As far as the confusion is concerned, Lara said that it is because she is very invested in cheering and is often seen excited when Buttler performs well, which has given rise to the situation and she finds it interesting.

“People think I’m Jos’ wife. I definitely think it’s because I’ve been in camera quite a few times. And Dhanashree and I cannot control ourselves next to the field and we are quite invested in the cheering. And Jos has been getting 100s as we go along and may the excitement has got people thinking probably, I’m a part of him, so it’s quite interesting,”- said Lara.

And Rassie has not played as much in the ITL so I haven’t been able to show the same sentiment to him. So, I’ll just adopt the cheering for Jos now on and enjoy it,”- she added.

“Please know that I’m really not Jos’ wife, I’m Rassie’s wife actually. But I’ll take it for now as she is not here, so I’ll take it and support for now,”- Lara concluded.

Jos Buttler will be next seen in action for Rajasthan in Qualifier 2 of the Indian T20 League 2022. Rajasthan will be playing against Bangalore in the match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
