 ‘Still love watching the old footages of him batting, so much to learn from it’ – Marnus Labuschagne on Sachin Tendulkar

The Australian cricketer, Marnus Labuschagne recently hosted a Question & Answer session with his fans on Twitter. He has been very active in doing such sessions and tries to answer most of the questions. This time he made himself available for 30 minutes and answered plenty of fan queries.

Upon being asked about his opinion on Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar, Labuschagne revealed that he still watches old footages of Tendulkar. He also said that there is a lot to learn from how the great used to play his game.

“Still love watching old footage of @sachin_rt bat now. unbelievable technique, so much to learn from how he played the game,” he replied.

Labuschagne is known for his active nature in the field, and he always speaks to the oppositions to get in their heads. He also is quite animated while he bats. Here are some other questions that he answered during the Q n A.

Notably, a clip of him asking Indian opener Shubman Gill about his favorite player was during the Border-Gavaskar trophy in 2020-2021 went viral across the internet.

After a decent performance in the Ashes, Labuschagne will now be seen during Australia’s tour to Pakistan in March. It is a complete tour with three Tests, three ODI’s, and a one-off T20I. Australia will be visiting Pakistan after 24 years, as they last played in Pakistan in 1998 under Mark Taylor.

A fan asked him what will be the bigger challenge in Pakistan, their spin attack or their pace attack, to which the Australian replied, “Looking forward to the challenge of both”.

The first Test of the series will begin on the March 4 in Rawalpindi followed by the second Test will be played in Karachi before the third and final Test in Lahore. The following white-ball games will be played in Rawalpindi.
