Tentative Date Of The Indian T20 League’s Auction Is Confirmed – Reports
Indian T20 League is known as one of the richest leagues in the whole world. Now, as per reports, the next edition of this tournament is going to happen in March 2023. But, ahead of that, there are several reports that the Indian Cricket Board are planning to conduct an auction for the new season.
As per reports by the Cricbuzz, a mini-auction will happen but no venue has been finalized. The tentative date for that auction might be 16 December 2022. Even, reports are suggesting that several franchises have asked for the trading of different players. But. all such requests have been denied so far.

As per reports to the Times of India, Sourav Ganguly wrote a letter to the state Boards. In that letter, he wrote: “The next season of men’s Indian T20 League will also go back to the home and away format with all ten teams playing their home matches at their designated venues.”
Available purse and player trading updates
Now, according to the reports to Cricbuzz, the salary purse for the auction will be INR 95 crore. Meanwhile, each team will have reserves of at least INR 5 crore to start with from last year. Along with it, there are reports that some franchises have already tried their luck with trading some players from different teams.
After the last edition of the Indian T20 League, there are rumours that Jadeja might leave the Chennai franchise ahead of the next season. Delhi and another franchise have already requested Chennai for the trading of Ravindra Jadeja. But, the Chennai franchise have refused that request completely. Some teams also requested a trade for Rahul Tewatia and R Sai Kishore from Gujarat. But, the defending champions have refused. However, the transfer/trade window will remain open till one week before the auction. Then, it will re-open after the conclusion of the proposed auction in mid-December.
