‘That’s called Grace of the Game’ – Fans react as Shadab Khan helps Hardik Pandya with his shoe lace during their Asia Cup 2023 encounter
The political differences between India and Pakistan are not hidden from anyone as they have always interfered with Sports, making both countries each other’s archrivals. However, there have been multiple instances that have kept the spirit of the game much above all of these conflicts and differences. Recently, an incident broke out on the internet, wherein Shadab Khan helped Hardik Pandya by tying his shoelace during their Asia Cup 2023 encounter.
India and Pakistan encountered each other on 2nd September at Kandy, Sri Lanka. India chose to bat first and Pakistan restricted the team to a score of 266, however, the match was abandoned without a ball being bowled to Pakistan in the second innings as rain played spoilsport and disrupted the game.
Shadab Khan help Hardik Pandya by tying his shoelaces
The incident that has been going viral over the internet took place in the first inning of the game as India’s middle order batsmen, Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya, were destroying the Pakistan cricket team’s lethal bowling attack that caused The Indian team’s top order batting lineup to collapse for a low score. Hardik Pandya faced an issue with his shoelaces as they became tied in between the game. Having the gloves and pads on makes it difficult to tie them on, hence, Pakistan’s bowler Shadab Khan helped Hardik Pandya by tying his shoelaces.
Shadab Khan is widely appreciated by fans all over the internet and across the world for showing a good spirit of cricket irrespective of the fact that both the players are opponents on the field and the countries have multiple differences among themselves.
The fans are also appreciating Shadab Khan for his good sportsman spirit, and have consistently congratulated him for keeping the spirit of the sport high and above everything else, irrespective of the fact that Hardik Pandya was thrashing the Pakistan bowlers.
