“There Is A Clear Propaganda” – Fans Lashed Out On Twitter After The Indian Cricket Board Announced The Squads For The White-Ball Format
The Indian Cricket Board announced the squads for the upcoming ODI and T20I series against England later this month. These will be played after the historical Test match at Edgbaston, starting from July 1, 2022. However, some surprising picks were found in the announced squads.
As the Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma is set to miss the Test match due to a Covid-19 infection, Jasprit Bumrah was named the captain for the Test match. He got tested Covid positive during their four-day warm-up match against Leicestershire and thus, he did not come out to bat in the second innings of the match. The Indian selectors opted for a different side for the first T20I only. All the players involved in the Ireland T20Is will be there. Just, Rohit Sharma will be back leading the Team. After that match, big names like Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja will be back in the shortest format of the game.
Now, for the ODIs, all big names will be back. Shikhar Dhawan was given another chance in this 50-over format. Interestingly, Arshdeep Singh got his maiden call-up to the Indian ODI set-up for this series. However, Sanju Samson was rejected once again as he was only found to be part of the first T20I match. After that, he had not been considered by the selectors of the Board and that thing did not go well with the fans. They lashed out at the Board and selectors regarding this matter on the social media platform. Fans fumed at the Board Selectors for selecting under-performing Rishabh Pant over Sanju Samson who just scored a brilliant knock of 77 runs against Ireland. People were found to blame the Board and its dirty politics to avoid Sanju Samson despite his performances.

Here is how Twitter has reacted to the India Squad selection:
There is a clear propoganda to restrict Sanju as just a T20 player. Once they tried to tag him as an IPL player. When most of his gen players played accross formats for the nation (as complete failures), why this talented player is always kept at bay?#SanjuSamson #BCCI pic.twitter.com/9SAYszoio1

But different rules only made for Sanju Samson even after performing brilliantly scored 77(42) on his comeback match still didn’t included in 2nd & 3rd T20i whereas special guest like Pant getting continues games even after failing miserably. Dirty politics of @BCCI #SanjuSamson https://t.co/qLxgekL4HL

The @BCCI and @chetans1987 should explain to fans why they dropped a player whose last two innings in T20i are 77 and 39 respectively. If talent and form are not factors in team selection, tell us on what basis you are selecting the players. @SGanguly99 #SanjuSamson pic.twitter.com/CClrTxjZ5A

WHAT IS BCCI DOING?
It doesn’t matter to BCCI whether Sanju Samson performs or not. They just want to waste his talent. Even after scoring good runs in the last match, BCCI only saw what Deepak Hooda did. Do BCCI selectors smoke W€€D before Team selection?#SanjuSamson(1/6) pic.twitter.com/59kJaMD0SF
