“This Sanju Manju got no shame” – Twitterati reacts after Sanjay Manjrekar excluded Ravindra Jadeja from the T20 World Cup squad

India is getting ready to face England in the rescheduled and fifth Test match of the series, starting from 1 July 2022. India had announced a strong squad for this match as players like Ravindra Jadeja had been added. Jadeja missed the home T20I series due to an injury.
Hence, this series will be a comeback stage for him if he gets selected for the playing XI. However, he is also tipped to be a part of the Indian T20 squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia. Jadeja is known for his all-around abilities and he is known as one of the best fielders around the globe. But, former Indian player Sanjay Manjrekar again lashed out at the selection of this player as he excluded him from his predicted playing squad for the World Cup.
Speaking to Firstpost, Manjrekar said that it will tough for him to get into the team as players like Dinesh Karthik and Axar Patel had been showing good performance in the lower order. He even added that his impact is quite less than these players. He said: “Clearly, Dinesh Karthik has shown that he can be a number 6 or 7 as a pure batter. The impact that he is making is phenomenal and we saw that in T20Is against South Africa and also in the Indian T20 League. So, it’s not really going to be easy for Jadeja to come in and take his place and India might settle in with somebody like Axar Patel.”
This is not the first time when Sanjay Manjrekar had criticized Jadeja regarding his form. In 2019, during the World Cup in England, Manjrekar had been dismissive of Jadeja and called him a “bits and pieces” player. Jadeja replied with his performance against New Zealand and he had to confess that he was wrong about that. But, his recent statement regarding the exclusion of Jadeja created a chaos among the fans.
