The 15th edition of the FIH Hockey World Cup is set to kick off on January 13 in Bhubneshwar, India. The first edition was played 51 years ago in Spain. Notably, the previous edition was played in India as well. In 2018, Belgium won the tournament which means they will be defending champions in the upcoming edition.
A total of 16 teams will play each other in a single round-robin format. All these teams will get to play three games each before the next round.
