In the 2016 Asia Cup, India and Bangladesh qualified for the final. But, before that clash, a morphed image of MS Dhoni got viral on social media. The image was about Bangladesh’s Taskin Ahmed holding MS Dhoni’s head. Indian fans went berserk on the social media platform as they showed their anger.
Speaking about this incident, then-India coach Ravi Shastri shared his views. He said: “It’s not our job to look at newspapers, our job is to play cricket. It’s your job to find out what stories are getting published in the dailies. When we play cricket, we do not concentrate on newspaper articles. So you all can make your own assessments by reading those stories.”
