BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has said that he is trying to get Sachin Tendulkar involved in Indian cricket. Ganguly, Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman already hold posts in Indian cricket and if Sachin also grabs a role, that will complete the reunion of Fab 4.

“Sachin is a bit different from all but we are working out a way to have him involved in Indian cricket”, Ganguly was quoted as saying.

However, Ganguly said there is a lot of conflict going on in Indian cricket at the moment and Sachin is the kind of person who stays away from controversies, hinting that Sachin may not be keen on taking up any responsibility for now. Ganguly though accepted that Sachin’s involvement will be a big boost to Indian cricket.

“Sachin is obviously a bit different. He doesn’t want to be involved in all this. I’m sure with Sachin’s involvement in Indian cricket in some way, it can’t be better news than that. In what way that obviously needs to be worked out. Because there is too much of conflict all around,” said Ganguly.

Ganguly recently found himself in middle of a controversy when Virat Kohli denied the claims made by Ganguly regarding a proper communication between him and Virat Kohli over ODI captaincy. Virat Kohli said that the board only informed him about ODI sacking an hour before the the squad’s announcement for South Africa tour. This was exactly opposite to what Ganguly has said. The former India skipper had said that he has personally requested Virat Kohli to not step down as T20I captain as board does not want split captaincy in limited overs format.
