On March 8, Umesh Yadav and his wife Tanya welcomed their second child. “It’s a newborn girl,” the India pacer captioned a cute Instagram image. Umesh’s personal life has not been going well because he lost his father just before the third Test match against Australia. The Yadav family, however, has welcomed the birth of the newborn girl with open arms.

Given that he is presently with his wife and new baby, the bowler is likely to skip the fourth Test in Ahmedabad. In the fourth innings, Mohammed Siraj and Shami most likely will perform as pacers. Interestingly, Umesh shared news of a new addition to his family during a series against Australia in 2021, when the Indian team was on tour in Australia.

Umesh played an important role with the ball in India’s recent third Test loss to Australia at Indore, displaying a fantastic reverse swing in Australia’s first innings, which led to a collapse of six wickets for only 12 runs. The birth of his daughter elicited a flood of congratulations from fans and followers on the internet, with the hashtags #UmeshYadavbaby and #UmeshYadavBaby2 going viral on the Koo App.

What next for India and Umesh Yadav?

The fourth Test between India and Australia is scheduled for March 9 in Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium. The tourists have already qualified for the Test Championship and will look to keep their momentum going and win the series. However, India should win the final Test to qualify for the WTC final. If they lose, their fate will be determined by the results of the New Zealand-Sri Lanka match.

The leaders of both countries, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, will attend the highly anticipated final Test in Ahmedabad. The match, which is expected to draw 100,000 spectators, guarantees to be an exhilarating spectacle. Narendra Modi is also expected to be present at the coin toss before the start of the fourth Test.
