The Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela has been a trolling subject for cricket fans for months now. Every now and then Rautella has come out in the public to make some bold statements or actions that have been made fun of by the fans. Be it related to Rishabh Pant or her not being involved in cricket, Urvashi has consistently made headlines.

Recently, the Bollywood actress was spotted posing with the prestigious ODI World Cup 2023 trophy that is currently on its world tour after being uniquely launched in space, ahead of the commencement of the championship. Rautela posed with the trophy in Paris in front of the world-famous Eiffel Tower in a gown.

Taking to her social media accounts, Urvashi posted, “First actor to officially launch and unveil ‘Cricket World Cup 2023 trophy’ at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. #trulyhumbled Thank you @icc @cricketworldcup @france_cricket.”

Apparently, Urvashi’s statement of calling her the first actor to officially launch the ODI World Cup trophy didn’t go as planned, as again, she became a laughing spot or a bait of brutal trolls by the Indian cricket team fans. The fans didn’t miss this golden opportunity to quickly remind her that much before her Bollywood’s King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan had already unveiled the ODI World Cup trophy, directly over television advertisements while promoting the tournament.

The Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 is set to commence on 5 October and conclude on 19 November, both at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad (popularly known as Motera Stadium). While the tournament will be hosted by India across 10 venues, the Indian cricket team will begin their World Cup campaign against Australia on 8 October again at the M Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.

Before the ODI World Cup, the Indian cricket team will be participating in the continental tournament, the Asia Cup 2023, and will face their archrivals Pakistan on 2 September for their first match of the tournament.
