Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma share cute photos with daughter Vamika on her second birth anniversary
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma shared images of them with their daughter, Vamika on her second birthday. For the unversed, the child was born on January 11, 2021, at Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital. The couple announced Anushka’s pregnancy in August 2020. On her second birth anniversary, the duo posted a picture each with their daughter. In both images, their offspring’s face was hidden.
Over the last couple of years, the duo has maintained privacy for their kid. This is the reason they released the photos of their daughter sans her face. However, during India’s tour of South Africa early last year, the cameraperson caught the photos of the toddler. Reacting to the development, both Kohli and Anushka requested media publications not to carry her images and also delete the same if they have been used.

Virat Kohli notched up his 45th ODI hundred ahead of his daughter’s birthday
On January 10, India played Sri Lanka in the first ODI of the three-match series. After openers, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill missed out on the opportunity to score a hundred, Kohli ensured he reaches the mark. The right-hander scored his 45th ODI hundred and is only five tons away from making a record. At this point, 2011 World Cup winner, Sachin Tendulkar holds the record for most hundred in ODIs with 49 hundred.
After the game, the 34-year-old spoke to Suryakumar Yadav in a video uploaded by the Indian Cricket Board on Twitter. The former spoke about the phase in which he was struggling with the bat.
“I realized that I was very far away from my cricket because of my desires. I realized that I need to be true to myself. If I was the worst player around, I needed to accept it.
“I was getting very cranky and snappy and that wasn’t fair on people around me, Anushka [Sharma] and my other loved ones who are always there for me. So I had to take responsibility and put things into perspective,” the 2008 U19 World Cup winning captain said in an interaction with Suryakumar Yadav.
